Information about Academic Support for General Education, Special Education, Twice-Exceptional (2e), and College-Level Students, including Standardized Testing Support (ISEE, SSAT, ACT, SAT, PSAT and Regents).

Assessment rates are as follows

• Basic 30 minute assessment is $100 and does not include conversing with school faculty, admin and or educators. A basic short summary of assessment and basic recommendation are provided. 

• Thorough recommended assessment is $165 and provides a written report and recommendation of each step along with a call to student school faculty, admin and or educators to discuss student academic strengths and weaknesses to help develop a thorough plan for testing support to be most effective

• Assessment is included free of charge for students that are signed up for a minimum of four months once a week sessions at $165 for hourly limited or $200 Hour session PLUS Thirty minutes between sessions assistance and questions 

 

HOUR PLUS SESSIONS consist of the following

HOUR session PLUS THIRTY minutes ADDITIONAL between sessions assistance to answer additional questions plus a parent and or guardian phone call per week is $200 per session

• This means your student is receiving up to 30 minutes ADDITIONAL help each and EVERY week BETWEEN their SCHEDULED sessions i.e. text, dm or email Miss Carmen any and all academic questions, PLEASE NOTE THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE ANY ADDITIONAL VIDEO CHAT AS THIS WOULD THEN HAVE TO COUNT AS AN ADDITIONAL SESSION RATE FEE 

  • All dm, texting and or emails are for academic questions and always must be approved by a parent or guardian

    • Any and all communication by student is strictly academic questions only and must be sent by parent or guardian on their phone number if student is under the age of 18 and is sending a text with their specific academic question

    • any student 18 and over must receive permission from parent and or guardian first prior to sending an academic question via text to Miss Carmen

• Parent and or guardian can call Miss Carmen each week to discuss any questions or concerns in relation to student progress

• Please note that if this is a phone call that requires over ten minutes to discuss question and or concern it must be scheduled in advance with Miss Carmen

• Hour video session via Google Meet with link sent prior to start of each scheduled session

• We will cover any and all areas that need academic support for exam preparations

• Online use of whiteboard for student and educator to use together to go over each problem in real time writing out each step. 

• Thorough review of student academic history and areas that require professional assistance and guidance for exam preparation

• Meeting with faculty, admin and instructors when deemed necessary in order to best assist student in their academic support needs **THIS IS FOR HOUR PLUS SESSIONS ONLY**

• If student requires Miss Carmen to meet with school faculty, admin or instructors this will be discussed after assessment when session rates and recommendations are provided

• Meeting with parents and or guardians to review academic support plan and recommended session times per week to best assist student 

• This is provided after the assessment is completed

• Follow up emails documenting student progress during academic sessions and recommendations that can assist student beyond academic sessions (i.e. if student is eligible for learning accommodations, requires an IEP, etc.)

☆ student is provided with weekly supplemental material that is most suitable to their specific learning strengths and areas that need the most attention. For example students may receive supplemental materials in the form of prerecorded video, audio and or written packets with images to assist with learning and development of new study skills to assist with their specific learning disability and or disabilities.  *visual and auditory supplemental educational materials are provided as well when needed and/or found to be most beneficial to the student.

☆ You are provided IN ADDITION to your hourly session with a private school special education teacher:

​

• a conference call about your child's progress and area's that need more progress.
   

• a monthly written full professional updated assessment about the student's progress and areas that require more attention.
   

• a free conference call or video conference with your child's school principal, specific teacher or specialist that is working with student (i.e. psychologist or therapist.) **This is normally an ADDITIONAL FEE**
   

• special educator provides free recommendations for you to top professionals to help student excel and reach their full academic potential. (i.e. free referral to receive a proper formal evaluation for an IEP with a neuropsychologist)
   

• assessment by the special educator to help student excel and learn how to embrace their unique learning styles (assessments are normally charged an additional fee for a special educator assessment for students/clients that are NOT signed up for weekly hourly sessions for the entire semester aka 16 hourly sessions within a four month period.)
   

• PLEASE NOTE: an assessment consist of at least one full hour assessment session and the rate of each assessment hour is equivalent to that of one hour of a regular session (this means it is $145 per hour for an hour assessment.)  

  • Assessments are included for clients that are signed up for a semester of weekly hourly sessions totaling, at minimum, 16 hourly sessions (equivalent to one session a week for an entire semester.)

  • Assessments are also included for clients that are signed up for the Hour PLUS session rate of $200

☆Student is provided an online classroom to organize their notes and each lesson, plus they have access to professional educational software only students of Em C Education Online have access to.☆

Miss Carmen has also been creating and teaching online courses and curriculum's for prestigious educational programs and private schools for the past decade
